Tsum Valley Trek

Tsum Valley which is locally known as ‘Beyul Kyimolung’ is the hidden valley which has long been concealed from the outer world. Tsum Valley Trek is the Restricted Area Trekking and thus requires special permit from Nepal Government for visiting. Beyul Kyimolung is the Tibetan word which suggests ‘Holy Hidden Valley of Happiness’.
Settlement in Tsum Valley is believed to have been founded by the 8th century Buddhist Saint Padmasambhava with a purpose to provide shelter for the people fleeing from war, famine and religious persecution.
Visiting the ancient nunneries, passing through local houses and tea houses, visiting monasteries, passing along the cave of Piren Phu, entering the secular lands of Tsum Valley that remains enclosed by Boudha and Himal Chuli mountains to the west, Ganesh Mountain to the south and Sringi Mountain to the north and taking dip in natural hotspring at Tatopani are the major attractions of ‘Tsum Valley Trek.’
Expert Team from ‘About Nepal Trek’ have formulated ‘Tsum Valley Trek’ as 19- days itinerary package which begins with 7hours of scenic drive to Arughat Bazaar from where we will begin our electrifying trekking by walking past Soti Khola, Machha Khola, Doban and the village of Philim to arrive at Chumling. Proceeding further to Chhokangparo which is known as Upper Tsum Valley, we will make the return trip through Nile, Mu Gompa, Rachen Gompa, Dumje, Philim, Tatopani and Soti Khola to Arughat Bazaar from where we will drive back to Kathmandu and the ‘Tsum Valley Trekking’ package concludes.
